Teneligliptin Tablet is a pharmateutical drug used in the treatment & cure of the diabetes type 2 mellitis. It belongs in class anti-diabetic drug known as dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors or "gliptins".In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (20 mg of teneligliptin) at a time, once a day. If the effect is insufficient, the dose may be increased up to 2 tablets (40 mg) at a time, once a day.

Since September 2012, teneligliptin has been commercially sold in Japan and has been used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus when patients do not show sufficient improvement after diet control and exercise or a combination of diet control, exercise, and sulfonylurea- or thiazolidine-class drugs.Teneligliptin Tablet is DPP-4 inhbitors.The mechanism of DPP-4 inhibitors is to increase incretin levels (GLP-1 and GIP), which inhibit glucagon release, which in turn increases insulin secretion, decreases gastric emptying, and decreases blood glucose levels.
